The V1/V2 Rockets
The V1 and V2 rockets were the first ever long range missiles. They were first launched from Germany on 13th June 1944 and 15th September 1944 respectively. Both of these rockets caused widespread destruction, particularly to London and Antwerp. Being the first unmanned long range missiles, there were many faults to both, but they gave Germany a way of hitting back without loosing pilots in air-raids, and made one inventor very famous.
